Ray J has had a rough time coping with the death of his former romantic interest and good friend Whitney Houston, as his grieving process has been covered widely by the media. For a while, Ray J refused to return to the scene of her death, for he felt as though it would simply be too hard to revisit her final moments on this Earth.
However, he was scheduled for a media event for his new TV show called The Ricky Smiley Show, which forced him to return to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. where Whitney died.
According to his sources, he told his friends that "it hurt inside" when he first walked into the hotel, and that it felt "very weird" to be walking the halls again. Ray J did however put on a strong face and carry on with his scheduled media appearance as planed.
