"Milla Jovovich Credits Eazy-E for Her Hollywood Career"

Hollywood star Milla Jovovich, best known for her role in "The Fifth Element" and as the lead character in all of the Resident Evil movies, recently spoke to KCRW Radio and revealed that Eazy-E really inspired her to break out of her strict upbringing and strive for more individuality, which lead to her becoming an actress.  During the interview she broke out some classic Eazy-E lyrics from his "Nobody Move" track where she spit:
"I said lay down and unbutton your bra/That was the biggest t*tties a n*gga ever saw/I said 'D*mn,' and the air got thinner/Only thought in my mind, was going up in her/The suspense was making me sick/She pulled her panties down and the b*tch had a d*ck!/I said 'D*mn,' dropped the gat from my hands/What I thought was a b*tch was nothing but a man."
She went on to explain how his music really helped her to realize that there was a whole other world outside of the strict European upbringing that she was used to.
"That (music) definitely changed my world. In a great way, actually, because I had been raised by a very strict Eastern European family and this was sort of my call for freedom. I had started working at such a young age. I was nine years old and my mom always had so much control, and pretty much through Eazy-E, and that kind of, like, freedom, I started to wear baggy jeans and big T-shirts and baseball caps and just act like, 'Yeah, whatever'."

"Wyclef Jean Discusses Affair with Lauryn Hill in Autobiography"

Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill have had a checkered history over the years, which has led to the two avoiding each other. Wyclef revealed in a prior interview that he and Hill haven't spoken in some time, and the two didn't seem to make a conscious effort to approach one another at Chris Lighty's funeral either.
In his autobiography titled "Purpose", Wyclef discusses the events which led to their separation. He confirmed that he indeed had an affair with Lauryn Hill during a certain point in time. Hill became pregnant by Rohan Marley, but Wyclef says she led him to believe that he was the father. Jean contended that was the determining factor in the break-up of The Fugees.
"In that moment something died between us. I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn't forgive that. She could no longer be my muse...Our love spell was broken."
What do you think of Wyclef's comments in his autobiography?

"Brain Parasite Attacking California's Latino Population"

According to a recent article in Scientific American, a rare brain disease in the United States called "neurocysticercosis" has become an increasing issue among the Latino community in California.  Neurocysticercosis is a disease which is caused by a tapeworm brain parasite.  The disease is apparently most common in poorer areas that lack good health systems, as the disease is often preventable by maintaining good hygiene.
In 2009, there were 304 reported cases of neurocysticercosis in California, and allegedly $17 million was spent on treatment for the disease alone.  According to Theodore Nash, who is the chief of the Gastrointestinal Parasites Section at NIH, "Nobody knows exactly how many people there are with it in the United States.  Minimally there are 5 million cases of epilepsy from neurovysticercosis."
Hopefully, a vaccine will be found to eliminate this serious disease in the near future.

"Tensions Flare On American Idol Set: Nicki vs Mariah"

It looks like it's going to be a battle of the divas on this season of American Idol, as Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have reportedly already been going at each other's throats with passive aggressive jabs.  During the first taping of American Idol this past Sunday, September 16th, it was reported that the tension between the two women was palpable during the entire auditioning process.
According to various "spy" sources, there were several times when Nicki would begin to critique a contestant, and Mariah would cut her off and give her own opinion. Nicki would then respond in kind and begin speaking very loudly over Mariah.  One of the sources on the set during the battle of the diva egos was quoted as saying, "These girls just don't like each other."
The tension between these two should be just as interesting as the actual talent that will be competing on the show.

Chris Brown is still catching flack for his infamous assault on Rihanna. HMV, a London retail store is selling Breezy's latest offering, "Fortune", with a sticker plastered across the top left that reads, "Warning: Do not buy this album. This man beats women." Apparently, an anti-domestic violence group is responsible for the stickers.
Do you think this is taking it too far?

"Reporter Claims Bush Knew 9/11 Attacks Would Happen"

In a new article that has been published in The New York Times, reporter Kurt Eichenwald, who is a former Timesman and present contributing editor for Vanity Fair, claiming that former President George W. Bush, was heavily warned about imminent attacks from Bin Laden Prior to 9/11.  Apparently Bush and his entire administration were warned about the tragic attacks prior to when they actually happened, even more than the general public realized.  Mr. Eichenwald goes into specific detail about how the Bush administration was warned about the pending danger from Bin Laden.
Eichenwald highlights the August 6th White House briefing about upcoming danger, as well as months and years prior to the attack of warning that could have helped to prevent the September 11th attacks from taking place.  Eichenwald gained his information from an array of documents that have been kept from public eye.  He says he, "read excerpts from many of them, along with other recently declassified records, and come to an inescapable conclusion: the administration's reaction to what Mr. Bush was told in the weeks before that infamous briefing reflected significantly more negligence than has been disclosed."
Below is a passage from Eichenwald's article in which he addressed the warning George Bush and his administration received, prior to the 9/11 attacks.  The warnings he is referring to in the below passage, were from June of 2001, three months before the 9/11 attacks.
"An intelligence official and a member of the Bush administration both told me in interviews that the neoconservative leaders who had recently assumed power at the Pentagon were warning the White House that the C.I.A. had been fooled; according to this theory, Bin Laden was merely pretending to be planning an attack to distract the administration from Saddam Hussein, whom the neoconservatives saw as a greater threat. Intelligence officials, these sources said, protested that the idea of Bin Laden, an Islamic fundamentalist, conspiring with Mr. Hussein, an Iraqi secularist, was ridiculous, but the neoconservatives' suspicions were nevertheless carrying the day.
In response, the C.I.A. prepared an analysis that all but pleaded with the White House to accept that the danger from Bin Laden was real."

"Woman Killed After Revealing HIV Status to Boyfriend"

Larry Dunn Jr. confessed to killing his girlfriend Cicely Bolden after she revealed that she was HIV positive - a revelation which came after the had already had sexual intercourse. 36-year-old Dunn kept his explanation rather simple: "She killed me, so I killed her," he told Dallas, Texas law enforcement.
Boden's two young children discovered her body when they arrived home from school. The 28-year-old was found lying on her bedroom floor, naked from the waist down. Blood was pouring from her neck as the result of two stab wounds.
According to Dallas police, Dunn Jr. said that he and Boden had only been dating for a short period of time. After revealing that she was HIV positive, Dunn told law enforcement she followed that up by saying it was "not that bad". It was at that point that Dunn become enraged, heading to the kitchen to grab a knife.
Their neighbor Latoya Arnett, who made the 911 call, said to reporters "All I know is, she didn't deserve it and her kids didn't deserve to see her like that. She was a good mom. Loved her kids to death. I can't imagine my kids seeing me like that. I know it hurt them."
Dallas police officials acknowledged that Dunn was cooperative during the investigation.

"Clifton Powell Responds to Woman's Assault Allegations"

Clifton Powell recently spoke out against the allegations of rape made against him by a New Orleans woman. He strongly denies that there is any truth to the accusations made in 2011 by an employee of Harrah's casino in New Orleans. Ms. Kiyante Myers filed a civil suit in federal court in Louisiana, and she is seeking around $75,000 in damages.
Ms. Myers has already admitted to having sex with Powell, but claims that he was being too rough and didn't stop after she told him that she didn't want to continue.  Powell, on the other hand, has a very different outlook on what happened. According to his side of the story, he met her in 2010, a year before the alleged rape actually took place, and claims that she hit on him but he shut her down because she came on too strong.
He did however admit to becoming close with her for a brief period of time a year later in 2011, and after they became intimate, she asked him to give her money, which he refused.  Powell said that after he refused to pay her any form of money, she threatened to go to the authorities and tell them that he hurt her.
"She got mad because I wouldn't give her any money.  I've never hurt anyone.  I was never arrested.  Never. TMZ is reporting this like it happened yesterday. This happened a year ago, Ryan. And people need to know the truth."

"President Obama Reacts to Nicki Minaj's Republican Rap"

Wind of Nicki Minaj's "I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy b*tches are f*cking up the economy" line has found its way to President Barack Obama's ear, and he isn't at all phased by the pro-Rebublican lyrics spit by the YMCMB Queen.  Obama commented on the song's content to an Orlando radio show, stating that he isn't sure whether or not Nicki seriously supports Mitt Romney because she uses so many alter egos.
"I'm not sure that is actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."

"Gucci Mane to Pay $60k for Pushing Woman From Car"

Only Gucci Mane knows what was going through his mind when he pushed a woman out of a moving Hummer last year. A year later though, the consequences of his actions are now catching up to him. A judge has ordered Gucci to pay Diana Graham $60,000 in punitive damages for the stunt he pulled, reportedly because she wouldn't go to a hotel room with him.
Gucci plead guilty to the charges and spent six months in jail for the crime, but he was sued in a civil case as well. Graham cited mental anguish, pain, and emotional distress as the reasons for the suit, and was awarded $58,161.24 for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering.
Gucci has not commented on the situation.

You ask me he got off pretty cheat.  I would think a person would've sued him in the millions?

"R. Kelly Owes IRS $6 Million for Seven Years of Taxes"

It seems like so many celebrities have been ignoring their taxes lately. The latest person to catch flack from the government is R. Kelly, who reportedly owes over $6 million accumulated from 2005-2011. After owing around $4.8 million after 2010, he was unfazed. Kels racked up that other million in the last year, and now he's in talks with the IRS to get it all figured out. But is it too little too late?
As TMZ so astutely pointed out, it "seems his accountant has been trapped in the closet for the past seven years."
Hopefully R. Kelly can keep himself out of jail.

"Bronx Man Killed by NYPD After Escaping Armed Robbers"

Reynaldo Cuevas, a 20-year-old Bronx bodega worker, was shot and killed by New York City cops as he escaped an armed robbery that was going down in the store he worked in. Cuevas and his uncle were closing Natalie Grocery store at around 2 a.m. when armed robbers entered the premises, according to witnesses and police sources. Those inside were held hostage, but some managed to escape. Cuevas, who was not armed, fled the scene just as law enforcement was arriving and was shot dead after being mistaken for one of the perpetrators.
Jesse Rodriguez, a neighborhood resident, commented on what he saw. "The first guy ran out with his hands on his head. The second guy (Reynaldo Cuevas) ran out and tripped by the fire hydrant and the cops shot him. People were screaming, 'He works there! He's an employee! He was innocent."
The officer who fired the shot believed Cuevas was chasing the first victim who escaped from the store, according to police sources. The circumstances of the shooting are currently under investigation.
Reynaldo Cuevas was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital from a single gunshot wound to the torso.
This is very sad.

"Jay-Z Discusses Barack Obama's Presidency & Odd Future"

This coming Sunday, the latest issue of New York Times Style Magazine will be released and rap mogul Jay-Z has an extensive interview inside to go along with his front cover appearance. One of the topics discussed had to do with fatherhood and raising his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
Now, more excerpts from the interview have emerged. In one of them, Hov discusses Barack Obama and his thoughts on the upcoming presidential election.
"I've said the election of Obama has made the hustler less relevant. People took it in a way that I was almost dismissing what I am. And I was like: no, it's a good thing! No one came to our neighborhoods, with stand-up jobs, and showed us there's a different way. Maybe had I seen different role models, maybe I'd [have] turned on to that."
He also touches on rap group Odd Future and explains why he wanted them to make an appearance at his "Made in America" festival, which went down at the beginning of the month.
"[Odd Future has an] aversion to corporate America," he explained. "People have a real aversion to what people in power did to the country. So they're just lashing out, like: 'This is the son that you made. Look at your son. Look at what you've done.'"
Check out the full interview when the print is released this weekend.

"Ludacris Speaks on His Successful Business Endeavors"

Most recently, Forbes' released its list of the highest paid rappers, and of course it named most of the top-tier artists and producers working in the hip hop industry. One artist who many people may have been surprised to see on the list is Atlanta's own Ludacris. He's embarked on several different business ventures in recent times, such as "Soul by Ludacris" headphones and the Conjure Cognac line. In an interview with Forbes, Luda explained some of his endeavors.
"I rap at least once a year that I'm on one of the Forbes lists, and that's a great thing. The headphones are part of the reason. When we talk about building brands, we're not in it for the short run. It's not about getting in and hurrying up and trying to sell something. We get offers all the time; that doesn't mean we take every offer that comes to us. It's almost the same as someone working in an office building from nine to five, and then on the weekends they go partying. Every human being has different sides to themselves, and they showcase their emotions in different ways. I'd be doing fans a disservice if I only showed one side of myself."
Luda also spoke on his upcoming "Ludaversal" album which is due to release on September 11th. He discussed what fans can expect to hear from his latest project.
"I traveled the world over the last two years, I got to see a lot of things and had a lot of experiences," he says. "That's what Ludaversal is all about. Really kind of being vulnerable and letting you into my life...people are definitely going to understand a lot more about the personal side of Chris Bridges when they hear this album."

"Jay-Z Discusses Fatherhood with New York Times"

Rap mogul Jay-Z makes an appearance on the cover of New York Times Style Magazine's latest issue. For the interview, the Brooklyn native discussed a number of topics, including Hip-Hop, bringing the Nets franchise to his hometown, and the "Made in America" festival.
But perhaps the most interesting part of the conversation was when Hov talked about fatherhood and his daughter, Blue Ivy. Jay says his family prepared him for the hardships of life when he was growing up but states his child won't have to endure the same type of upbringing.
"Oh, my family's amazing." And the baby? "She's four months." Jay-Z tells the New York Times. "I actually thought about that more before she was born. Once she got here I've been in shock until maybe last week?" Her childhood won't be like his, and this fact he takes in his stride. "We would fight each other. My brother would beat me up," he says, but it was all in preparation for the outside. "I was going to have to fight, I was going to have to go through some things, and they were preparing me." He smiles: "She doesn't have to be tough. She has to love herself, she has to know who she is, she has to be respectful, and be a moral person."
Expect this issue of New York Times Style Magazine to be available on Sunday.

"Actor Clifton Powell Sued for Assaulting Woman"

A woman by the name of Kiyante Myers is alleging that "Next Friday" actor Clifton Powell raped her in a Louisiana hotel room a little over a year ago.  Ms. Myers has admitted to consenting to have sex with Mr. Powell at first, but then claims that he became too rough which made her uncomfortable, so she asked him to stop.  Upon her request, she claims that Mr. Powell ignored her wishes and instead placed his hands over her face and mouth and raped her.
She brought the case to the local Louisiana police; however, there was no substantial evidence to prove that Mr. Powell actually carried out any sort of rape, so therefore they were forced to close the case.  She has now taken her case to Louisiana federal court, and she is seeking around $75,000 in damages for her alleged suffering.
A representative for Mr. Powell released the following statement regarding the issue at hand:
"Mr. Powell absolutely denies these false accusations and plans on pursuing all legal remedies available to him against his accuser."

"Beyonce puts Kim K in her place"

Beyonce Knowles has reportedly accused Kim Kardashian of trying to steal the limelight from Jay-Z.

The incident apparently took place at the Budweiser Made In America music festival last weekend, the 42-year-old hip-hop star's other half got upset when Kim, 31, tried to be included in a Ron Howard documentary that was being filmed at the Philadelphia event about the rapper.

An eye-witness told website Radar Online: "Kim was desperate for attention in the VIP area and was getting in the way of cameras that were supposed to be filming Jay-Z.
"She kept saying she was a huge fan of Ron Howard and would do anything to be cast in one of his films, so Kim was using this as an opportunity to impress the movie maverick.

Beyonce, 31, politely reminded Kim that the short wasn't about her, but Jay-Z told her to make peace with the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star – because of his friendship with her boyfriend Kanye West.
They continued: "However, Beyonce wasn't amused that Kim was using her husband's documentary to audition for Ron.
"So, she took Kim to one side and told her that the day wasn't about her, it was about Jay-Z, his work in organizing the event and there were other celebrities and musicians there that needed coverage too.
While Beyonce is said to have made peace with Kim, she apparently was comforted by her mother after the altercation.
The insider added: "Step forward Jay-Z, as gracious as he is, to act as peacemaker. He said to Beyonce that she needs to play nice with Kim because he is pals with Kanye.
"Later that night, Kim phoned her mum Kris to complain about the harsh treatment she thought she got at the festival."

"Nicki Minaj Not Registered Voter Despite Political Lyrics"

Nicki Minaj made headlines recently when she decided to throw some politically charged lyrics onto Lil Wayne's Dedication 4 mixtape.  Minaj rhymed about being in support of Mitt Romney when she said, "I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, all you lazy b*tches f*cking up the economy."  This line has since fueled quite a bit of skepticism from many of her fans, as it seems fairly odd for Nicki to be in support of a conservative presidential candidate who has very strict views on topics such as birth control and gay rights.
Fellow rappers such as Jay-Z and Young Jeezy have come forward to support Obama for the actions he has taken towards benefiting our nation.  Nicki Minaj's lyrics may have actually been a subliminal diss to the Republican party, if you look at it from the perspective of her saying that those who are in support of Mitt Romney are "f*cking up the economy."  Regardless of how you slice it, there is one key factor regarding Minaj rapping any politically charged lyrics:
She is not a registered voter in the United States.  Nicki has lived in many locations in the U.S., from Georgia to New York to California, but she has never taken the time out to register herself as a voter.  So maybe her decision to rap about politics is her way of contributing to the upcoming election by helping to motivate voters to support the right candidate.  Hopefully she will come out and address her lyrics in the near future to clear up any confusion about who she is truly supporting.

This is what I was talking about.  She's a bum!  She wasn't even born here.  So guess what,  she could care less.

"Nicki Minaj Claimed to Like Women for Media Attention"

It appears as though Nicki Minaj finally came clean about her sexuality in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.  In the interview, Minaj spoke about abuse that she endured from her father while growing up, her and Drake's influence on the black community, and also cleared the air about her rumored sexual preferences.
Although she claimed to be bisexual in the early part of her career and she often rapped about liking women, she admitted to Rolling Stone that she thinks women are attractive, but she would never date a woman, and that she only said she was bi-sexual in order to gain media attention.
Rolling Stone released the following statement regarding her confession:
"Early in her career Minaj claimed to be bisexual, but now says she just did that to get attention. 'I think girls are sexy,' she says. 'But I'm not going to lie and say that I date girls.'"
How do you feel about Nicki claiming to be bisexual in order to boost her name?

How do I feel?  I could care less.

"Chris Lighty's Wife: My Husband Wasn't in Debt"

Soon after Hip-Hop mogul Chris Lighty took his own life, several reports began to circulate that claimed he and his wife Veronica had gotten into a heated argument in the moments leading up to the suicide. There were also reports stating that she had filed for divorce, which ultimately pushed him over the edge. But in a recent interview with the Daily News, Veronica Lighty opened up about the situation and blasted those claims, saying there is no truth to them at all.
"My husband was too smart of a man. He was a genius. No smart man is going to leave his children for fighting with his wife," she told the Daily News. That makes absolutely no sense. We had a passionate relationship. We fought all the time."
Further reports suggested that Chris Lighty, who worked with the likes of 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, and Busta Rhymes, was having serious financial troubles and owed up to $five million to the IRS. But once again, his wife Veronica denied the claims, as well as those that said he was distraught because of the divorce filing.
"I had filed for divorce last year, but retracted it" two days before Father's Day, she said. "That was my gift to him." In regards to her husband's reported debt, Veronica simply said "We were not in debt $5 million."
As she closed out the interview, she continued to have nothing but good things to say about her husband.
"My husband was obsessed and adored me. He was one of the most beautiful people that I have ever met in my life. Let him die proud, at peace because that's what he needed and that's what he wanted. He just wanted peace and he wanted to relieve all that stress."
The couple were married for 10 years.

"Cassie Passionately Defends Relationship with Diddy"

It seems as though Cassie has grown tired of having her name put out in the public when it comes to her relationship with Diddy.  Are they an item?  It appears to be so.  However, they are both very "hush-hush" about their affairs, whatever they may be.
Regardless of what her current "Facebook Status" might read, Cassie is fed up with her name being put out as a topic of conversation when it comes to her and Diddy.  She recently expressed her feelings about the situation in a very passionate Twitter rant calling out all of her haters and media sources to stop writing/talking about her and Diddy.
She said that she has, "Been comitted 4 a long time to someone & I am so in LOVE w/HIM!"
Although she didn't specify that "someone" to be Diddy, you can rest assured that people are interpreting that "someone" to be him.
