"NYPD Admits Spying On Muslims Was Waste of Time"

The NYPD has been heavily surveilling Muslim individuals in New York City, ever since the tragic attack on 9/11.  The investigation was lead by the Demographics Unit with the assistance of the CIA, and now the NYPD has come forward and admitted that all of their efforts to spy on the Muslim community in NYC have been for nothing.
The CIA and DU put together a database for years that tracked the activities of Muslim citizens in NYC; where they lived, shopped, prayed, and worked.  Special agents were given missions to infiltrate mosques and Muslim student groups in order to try and find out potential information on any terrorist activity.  However, despite all of the resources, money and time spent on these operations, the NYPD is now confessing that it hasn't accomplished anything.
The racial profiling that has occurred for years led to a representative from the New Jersey chapter of the Muslim Advocates filing a lawsuit against the NYPD.  The president of the Advocates, Farhana Khera, released this statement regarding the lawsuit:
"This lawsuit is about the pervasive and discriminatory policies and practices that Commissioner Ray Kelly and his leadership team have put into motion and that need to stop. Standing up to the largest police department in the country takes courage, and these brave individuals have done so in order to protect America's future."
